- Strong founding team: The founders bring substantial entrepreneurial experience and deep expertise in ride-hailing, e-commerce, and logistics. They were early employees at two of Indonesia’s largest startups and have also gained significant experience working at one of the world’s leading logistics companies.

Remind is a startup that offers e-waste management and recycling solutions, addressing the rapidly increasing volume of electronic waste. Simultaneously, the company is committed to raising public awareness about proper e-waste disposal methods. Remind aims to recover all valuable metals from the e-waste stream and, therefore, substantially reduce energy consumption that occurs during highly pollutive traditional mining metal extraction activities. One could say: “Remind is an e-waste-mining startup.”

- Strong founders: Remind was founded by a highly skilled team with extensive education in relevant fields. The company’s founders have worked overseas at the world’s leading recycling firms and hold PhDs in metallurgical recycling and engineering.
- Significant momentum: In a short period of time, the company has onboarded several international clients and has successfully managed a substantial volume of e-waste sustainably and profitably.

BIONIQA
Bioniqa is a bio-technology company that has a mission to decarbonise the world starting from Jakarta. Bioniqa has developed a groundbreaking algae-based carbon capture technology that efficiently absorbs CO2 emissions from the atmosphere. The company provides a solution to improve air quality with a hyperlocalisational focus.
Microalgae are small, aquatic organisms that are found in freshwater and marine environments. These microalgae have major growth potential since it can multiply in a matter of hours in the company’s lab. Per 100 liters of microalgae in Bioniqa’s device, the algae can absorb as much as 2,000 kilograms (2 tons) of carbon per year. This device can be seamlessly integrated into various industrial processes, helping businesses reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a greener planet.
WHY WE CHOSE IT
- Indonesia is the 11th largest emitter in the world, we need a hyperlocal solution to solve this problem and we believe BioniAa can do that, one photobioreactor at a time.
- Strong founders: Rama Raditya and Andre Hutagalung are experienced Co-Founders. They have been building startups since 2012 with one exit and the other successfully raised up to Series B before hitting profitability.
- Early Adaptors: several individuals and schools have bought the device already. Other Individuals and real estate companies have shown interest. Also, BioniQa’s is partnering up with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to provide more public places with clean air.

Robries collaborates with (informal) waste banks, communities, and companies to encourage people’s action of reducing waste, reusing materials and sorting waste to initiate a zero-waste lifestyle.
