RASSA
Rassa (Indonesia) was established in 2022 with the ethos of tackling waste production of ‘good’ products at FMCG level. Rassa provides a solution to redistribute the nearly expired, overproduced and misplanned FMCG products that would end up in landfills by actively selling these ‘good’ products through their channels to the B2B and B2C market at an extremely attractive price.
WHY WE CHOSE IT
- Indonesia is the 2nd largest food loss and waste generator in the world and most of the food loss and waste is generated before it is consumed.
- Global FMCG players have identified many ‘good’ food & non-food products go to waste and end up in landfills.
- The Indonesian middle class is growing, resulting in more disposable income and in the end an increase in consumer spending
- Strong Fouding Team:Paris Turnip has previous experiences as consultant at PWC and Head of Operations at Beedoor (part of Bukalapak), Charisma Fardan (10 years at EY as Account and Finance Manager/ Senior) and Radityo Garry (Business development experiences at Shopee, Tokopedia and Sayurbox).

BIONIQA
BioniQa is a bio-technology company that has a mission to decarbonise the world starting from Jakarta. Bioniqa has developed a groundbreaking algae-based carbon capture technology that efficiently absorbs CO2 emissions from the atmosphere. This a main solution is to improve air quality with a hyperlocalisational focus
Microalgae are small, aquatic organisms that are found in freshwater and marine environments. These microalgae have major growth potential since it can multiply in a matter of hours in the company’s lab. Per 100 liters of spirulina in BioniQA’s photobioreactor can absorb as much as 2,000 kilograms (2 tons) of CO2 per year. Bioniqa’s device can be seamlessly integrated into various industrial processes, helping businesses reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a greener planet.

- Indonesia is the 11th largest emitter in the world, we need a hyperlocal solution to solve this problem and we believe BioniAa can do that, one photobioreactor at a time.
- Strong founders: Rama Raditya and Andre Hutagalung are experienced Co-Founders. They have been building startups since 2012 with one exit and the other successfully raised up to Series B before hitting profitability.

Sama Sama Seaplanes is the first amphibian airline to connect the Mentawai Islands to the Sumatra mainland and will mainly cater to luxury surf resorts, the islands’ largest source of tourist revenue.
